Bill Lay joined vCargo Cloud Pte Ltd (VCC) as the Principal Solutions Architect in 2016 and has been working with relevant stakeholders in formulating and standardizing software architectures for products and projects development. He provides guidance and work closely with the development teams to develop effective solutions and to streamline the development process.

Before joining VCC, he held portfolios across different industrial domains. He started as a software engineer in Creative Technology Pte Ltd and subsequently moved into a Solution Architect role with several System Integration and Product entities. Across 19 years he has led and/or assisted in conceptualising solutions across domains that includes Stocks, Forex, Loyalty, Insurance, Aviation Control, Telecom, and Media Printing. He previously held the role as a Regional Solution Architect in an MNC implementing regional solutions across ASEAN countries. During his course of work in SI, he has developed solutions for entities such as CitiBank, OCBC, Avia (Taiwan), First Bank (Taiwan), Bank of Ayudhya (Thailand), Keppel Group, Telkom (Indonesia), Sun Hung Kai (Hong Kong) and governmental bodies such Ministry Of National Development and People’s Association.

His wide range of knowledge in various software development domains spans development platforms, architectures, best practices, BPM and SOA. He is also certified in the IBM product suite and had previously taken on the role as a consultant for BEA series of enterprise integration products.

He holds a Honour Degree in Computer Engineering from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore.
