Driving Forces

The increasingly fluidity of global trades, the growing importance of capturing and monetizing these trades beyond traditional means, and the expanding impact from disruptive forces from online commerce have set the stage for a different way to look at trades and for a new way of fulfilling the requirements of trades.

Global Trade: Emergence of International Trade Routes and Communities

In the midst of growing global trades across countries and continents, traditional trading partners in their economic and trading communities remain strongly bound to their geographical proximity and matching demand and supply. At the same time, new trading partnerships are formed beyond these communities with the advent of more developed and maturing international trade routes. An interconnecting platform that facilitates a smooth and unhindered flow of goods and information between communities along these trade routes is of paramount importance for global trades to continue to flourish.

Global Hub: Beyond Traditional Means of Capturing Trade Through Geography

As international trade routes and communities evolve and e-commerce sales continue to disrupt traditional trading, it is imperative for trading hubs like Singapore to build on our current strength of a world-class, physical transshipment hub into an equivalent powerhouse as a converging and aggregating digital trading hub for these trades that may or may not physically flow through us geographically.

Online Commerces: Growing Influence of e-Commerce and Cross-border Trades

With the growing availability and affordability of the Internet and personal smart devices, traditional trades at the business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) level continue to be augmented, even eroded by e-commerce trades. These e-commerce trades have also redefined and raised the requirements of all the processes along the supply chain workflow. The traditional automation and optimization that have occurred at process-level and within various stakeholders are inadequate to match the demands of e-commerce in terms of fast turnaround, seamless flow and competitive costs.

What We Do

Against the backdrop of these changes and demands at the global, governmental and commerce levels, vCargo Cloud (VCC) is set up with the aim to provide a digital platform that serves as the backbone and framework for building an ecosystem for stakeholders in trade, logistics and supply chain to conduct their businesses more seamlessly, efficiently and cost effectively. At the same time, the platform will be an avenue for the creation of new business opportunities.

At the core of our business is our digital trading platform, CamelONE. It is a common and integrated platform for users in the trade, logistics and supply chain industries to exchange information with and do businesses on. These offerings are delivered in 3 categories of solutions and services: government-to-government (G2G)/business-to-government (B2G), business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C).

CamelONE allows VCC to be the gateway of trades between countries and businesses, and also as the consolidator and aggregator of these trades. The platform leverages on the generic shared services at the underlying foundation and the specificity of different vertical industries that sit on top of the platform.
