Cambodian Government Aims to Facilitate Import and Export Activities with CNSW

The Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia has officially launched the CNSW pilot on 1st July 2019. VCC was awarded the project in March 2018, and the project was initiated in May 2018. Pushing the limits, VCC took only 13 months to complete this project, instead of the planned period of 15 months.

With the implementation of CNSW, companies in the trade and logistics industry are integrated into the CNSW. Information and documents submitted by these companies will be standardised through a single entry point to agencies to fulfil all import, export and transit-related regulatory requirements. The participating agencies are GDCE – General Department of Customs and Excise, MOC – Ministry of Commerce, CDC – Council for the Development of Cambodia, MAFF – Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, MOH – Ministry of Health, MIH – Ministry of Industry and Handicraft.

The launch was covered by Khmer Times, an English-language newspaper based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
