CNSW Phase Two Kick-off Announced During 10th Anniversary of ASYCUDA Implementation in Cambodia

The 10th anniversary of ASYCUDA implementation in Cambodia was held at Raffles Le Royal Hotel on 21st May 2018. This event which was organised by General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia (GDCE) harnessed the objective to update relevant stakeholders on the progress of Customs Reforms and Modernization through Customs Automation which plays a vital role in cross-border trade facilitation.

VCC is honoured to be invited to be part of this celebration and to be able to witness the commencement of the development and implementation of Cambodian National Single Window Phase Two together with Cambodia’s Ministry of Economy and Finance and General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia (GDCE).

In the speech by VCC’s Deputy CEO/COO, Mr Allen Chan expressed, “With the strong foundation established during Phase One, Phase Two will be expanded with eCustoms modules such as eLicense, ePermit and eCertificate to be incorporated onto the CamelONE platform. With these modules in place, it will not only make cross-border trade more efficient, it will also be able to provide timely and accurate statistics for reporting. In addition, CamelONE platform will be presented as a web-based solution which means that traders can easily access information readily, and all they need is to have internet access and a web browser to perform trade. We believe Phase Two of Cambodia National Single Window will contribute to the vibrant trade outlook in Cambodia.”

VCC appreciates being given the opportunity to jointly develop the Cambodian National Single Window with GDCE and is looking forward to the successful implementation of Phase Two ahead.
