VCC’s Participation In a Round Table Discussion Organised by Russia-Singapore Business Council (RSBC) and Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) of EAEU

On 4th of June, the Eurasian Economic Commission held a round table discussion, for participants to share and discuss the digital transport corridors of EAEU project and how to grow globally, especially into the ASEAN market. Apart from representatives from EEC, other participants who were invited are top managers and experts from transport, insurance, service companies, logistics and compliance associations and custom brokers.

Due to our close working relationship with Russia-Singapore Business Council, we were given this rare opportunity to attend the discussion and to provide our expertise and knowledge.

EEC regards Singapore as an entry point for the integration of digital ecosystems between the EAEU and the ASEAN countries. In response to this, Mr Desmond Tay, Chief Executive Officer of VCC, shared about the solution which VCC and RSTradehouse have implemented which supports this point.

The first step of the solution is the integration between RSTrade digital platform (operated by RSTradehouse) and CamelONE platform (operated by vCargo Cloud). The integrated solution provides an opportunity to bring together manufacturers, buyers and companies from different countries providing logistics and other services for foreign economic activities – for buying and selling as well as for getting delivery, insurance and other services.

The second step of the plan is to integrate payment services as well as insurance and provision of contract manufacturing services from Russia to users from ASEAN countries. Mr Tay emphasised that more and more companies will start using FinTech, and it is already commonly used in Singapore, and the trend will soon be the same in the EAEU countries. So the integration of payment services will expand opportunities for interaction of the EAEU companies with the ASEAN countries.

At the end of the round table discussion, there was a demonstration of the integrated platform interface in real time, to show the team exactly how this solution works.
