Prior to the signing, VCC embarked on several preliminary study trips to Djibouti to develop a pilot system and the feasibility of implementing the National Single Window in Djibouti, which was well-received by Djibouti’s Government. As a result, VCC was appointed by SCE to implement the pilot National Single Window project in Djibouti.

This pilot project will showcase VCC’s capabilities to execute seamless cross-border trade in developing countries, through its flagship trade facilitation platform, CamelONE. By leveraging CamelONE, it will help to create a Single Electronic Window which will effectively reduce the cross-border risks and costs incurred by shippers and companies. This Djibouti project provides VCC a good position to facilitate trade activities in the entire Eastern Africa region, breaking down many trade barriers.

Furthermore, with the support from SCE, it has boosted VCC’s competitive edge among the rest and also enabled VCC to be able to bridge the gap with the foreign governments, providing solutions to help them to meet their development objectives.
