Trade for Good – A new digital way for global trade

On the 23rd of September 2020, we have officially launched GUUD – a new group of companies and technology platform aimed to simplify the inherent complexities in global trade processes and to reimagine them to drive greater efficiency and inclusivity in the digital world.

The launch of GUUD was also supported by renowned local partners and government agencies including Enterprise Singapore, Infocomm and Media Development Authority (IMDA), Singapore Customs (NTP Office), and Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE).

The philosophy behind GUUD

GUUD references the UN/ CEFACT Buy-Ship-Pay model to cover and streamline all aspects of trade facilitation like compliance, shipping, financing and payments on one integrated platform. The philosophy behind GUUD is simple – it is to enable all businesses, especially micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), to become players in global trade.

Small businesses and producers can now connect directly with overseas buyers and enjoy seamless online trading by accessing GUUD’s simplified platform. The platform connects them to everyone from Customs departments for import or export permits processing, shipping and logistics providers for arranging transportation of goods, and even financial institutions like banks for trade finance.

GUUD aims to benefit countries and economies by helping people to trade better – through informed decision-making, more efficient processes and easier access to service providers. Our goal is to simplify all trade processes, including compliance, shipping and payments through an integrated platform, allowing businesses to submit documents quickly, seamlessly book and track their shipments every step of the way while managing their overall costs well.
