Our CamelONE™ platform has received recognition from the judges of the SBR National Business Awards

We have won the Singapore Business Review National Business Awards 2020 for trade technology!

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected the economy and people globally. In these difficult times, we are glad that our CamelONE platform has played a part in making a positive contribution to the trade industry and has received recognition from the judges of the SBR National Business Awards for the outstanding initiatives.

Currently, very few or maybe, in fact, no companies have solutions that cover the whole cross-border trade ecosystem thus is unable to facilitate end-to-end cross-border trade process. To revolutionise the trade and logistics industry, VCC has designed a platform—CamelONE. CamelONE consists of a suite of interconnected modules to simplify the complexity of international trade, including compliance and documentation.

In particular, we aim to simplify global trade for small and medium enterprises (SME). To do so, we have developed a holistic platform that can connect stakeholders such as shippers, logistics service providers, government authorities and financial institutions onto an integrated platform to facilitate procurement, logistics, compliance, and financing for global trade.

The CamelONE platform allows stakeholders to connect and exchange digitised information seamlessly. These connections build an ecosystem which aims to enable a seamless end-to-end cross-border trade process, thus simplifying global trade.

Adopting the UN/CEFACT “Buy-Ship-Pay” reference model, the CamelONE platform has reduced logistics costs by 10%-15% for SME shippers and has also increased productivity and reduced reliance on manpower for logistics service providers. It has also facilitated access to trade finance facilities that SME businesses would otherwise not have access or be eligible for financing.

We will continue to strive and innovate using technology, to simplify the complexity of international trade, and to keep bringing more efficiencies as well as cost savings for stakeholders in the trade ecosystem.

Here’s the interview by Singapore Business Review with our Chief Executive Officer, Mr Desmond Tay, about our winning project.
