Collaboration with Key Government Agencies

Having established our track record and proven ourselves with our customers, VCC has grown to be trusted and respected industry leader who also understands the importance of working together with lead government agencies and key industry leaders.

Locally, VCC works very closely with the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) to raise the profile of the e-freight@Singapore initiative, driving adoption and transaction across various stakeholders. We also work very closely with various task forces in the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) to design and roll out various proof-of-concept and production-grade solutions and applications that are focused on delivering industry-wide productivity and efficiency gains. We also participated in collaborative efforts such as the Request for Information (RFI) exercise initiated by the Singapore Customs where VCC submitted our proposal for our vision of the next generation of customs system and trade information exchange.

Close Working Relationship with Leading Industry Leaders and Associations

Industrially, we are closely aligned and synchronized with the trending requirements and changes that take place with the various stakeholders. We are members of the Singapore Logistics Association (SLA), Singapore Aircargo Agents Association (SAAA) and International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA). We are also a Strategic Partner of International Air Transport Association (IATA), in which we sit in key working groups such as the e-freight Working Group and the Cargo XML Working Group.

Strategic Partnership with Government Agencies and Partners for Overseas Expansion

As part of our expansion effort, we also work with International Enterprise (IE) Singapore to bring our solution and expertise overseas. Under the Global Company Partnership (GCP) grant awarded by IE Singapore, VCC is working with countries in the African continent to deploy National Single Window (NSW) and e-freight solutions for their customs and logistic sector.

At the same time, VCC is also working hand-in-hand with Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) in Africa to bring additional value to our prospects. SCE was set up by the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore in 2006 to respond effectively to the multitude of foreign requests interested in Singapore’s development experience. SCE works closely with Singapore’s 15 ministries and over 60 statutory boards to scope out and tailor possible solutions to match the needs of foreign governments, and help meet their development objectives. SCE is an integrated arm of IE Singapore.

Active Participation and Contribution Back to the Industry

VCC also actively contributes back to the industry by sharing our expertise and experience on various platforms. We have served as panelists in United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) regional meetings, where we have shared on topics such as Introduction to Singapore’s Trade and Logistics Information Systems and Enhancing Operational Capacities and Capabilities through Cloud Technologies. We have also presented in other forums such as the International Seminar for Maritime and Fisheries Big Data event organized in Busan, Korea, by the Korea Maritime Institute, where VCC shared our experience in Data as Enabler for Fisheries Trading and Supply Chain.
